This episode left a little to be desired on my end. I guess I was hoping for a bigger finish to the Frankie storyline, but just when I am expecting something big to happen the show throws a curveball at me.
One of the more important character who still seems to have a backseat when it comes to a lot is Juice. I think we will definitely see his role start to pickup in the coming episodes. He has become an integral part of Clay’s plan, but not that Jax figured out he was the rat at the table, I cannot see him getting out of this alive. It would be one thing if he drifted towards Jax instead of Clay, but seeing as how he has been involved with every shady thing Clay has there cannot be any way Jax will defend him at this point. I think we will be seeing the end of Juice very soon, but I know Jax is going to try to get some information out of him about Clay first.
That is definitely an area where we have seen Jax really improve on in this season. He is starting to realize that he needs to play Clay’s game in order to bring him to justice. We saw that with what he was doing with Gemma. We saw him try to use Frankie to bring out the truth in Clay and also the truth about the rat. He is starting to play games and even though he is not turning into Clay, we can see a little of that side trying to break through as he is using people to his advantage now.
One thing I have been amazed at recently is how little Pope has been involved in this season. I thought for sure he would have a larger role and also cause more issues for the club. We have not seen any retaliation against him yet, but what I am really surprised about is how little he has even been involved. He meets with Jax sometimes in some random episodes, but that is it. I thought there would maybe be a development between him and the cartel or at this point something would have gone wrong in their partnership. We still may very well see that soon, but it has definitely been put on the back burner for quite a few episodes now.
We will continue to see the Clay and Jax struggle for power until that is completely resolved, but I also feel we may be in for some Tara drama that is not necessary to the plot at all. Hopefully, I will be wrong, but we will have to see.
